MS-Project (2003 or 2007)

Project managers must work within tight schedules, manage resources across the organization and deliver results on time and within budget. Microsoft Project is a powerful tool to help you break a project down into manageable parts, identify potential bottlenecks and keep your project on track. In this half-day course, you will be introduced to typical project and business problems using the planning and reporting features of Microsoft Project.

Performance-Based Objectives:

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to use Microsoft Project to:

  • customize the Project interface by changing the Views.

  • create a project plan and template.

  • define a project's task, available resources, costs, and timings.

  • assign tasks to resources.

  • track and record progress.

  • use available tables, views, and reports to monitor project status.

  • export project data into Excel.
